Monday Meetups: STEM Challengers In-Person

Monday Meetups for ages 7-11 are all about fun and games. But they are also all about fostering social and emotional well-being in every participant. In every iteration, this program strives to empower each participant through cognitive challenges, positive social interaction, and active learning. Each meetup is planned with micro learning lessons, while still allowing for student choice to drive the direction of the day's activity in a fun, low pressure environment. Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board Applications

The Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board application process opens in March and closes May 1, 2026. Applicants must be enrolled in 9th to 12th grade during the 2026-2027 school year. Each parish is allowed three applicants per ambassador and board. Each applicant may apply for two boards but can only serve on one State Leadership Board. Applications must be initiated by the 4-H Parish Agent within 4-HOnline system. Available boards include: Citizenship Board, Executive Board, Fashion Board, Food & Fitness Board, Shooting Sports Board, STEM Board, and various Ambassador programs (Equine, Livestock, Wetland).

Monthly Lego Challenge

Do you love to build with Legos? Each month we'll have a different Lego challenge to complete. Work as a team or on your own to tackle each challenge! Lego creations will be displayed in the library until the next month's program. Children aged 6 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver at all times. Children 7-9 years old need not be in the immediate presence of a parent or caregiver, but the caregiver must remain in the library.
