Catalyst STEM Program

Year-long STEM program (June 2026 - June 2027) for high school students with disabilities. Includes hands-on labs, paid STEM internships, certification opportunities, Life 101 skills, field study trips, college and workforce readiness, case management and transition planning. Multi-year participation encouraged. Week-long summer session plus Saturday sessions during school year. Partnerships with NC State, Wake Tech, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, NASA, EPA, and industry partners like ABB, Thermo Fisher, and Lenovo.

HOIST 2026 - STEM Summer Program for Native American High School Students

HOIST is a 13-day summer program designed for Native American high school students interested in exploring STEM careers, preparing for college and building community with peers and mentors. The program includes academic courses in math, English and science, STEM internships with University of Idaho researchers, hands-on learning through field trips and workshops, cultural and recreational activities, and a program stipend upon completion. Open to students from the 11 Tribal Reservations with a MOU with University of Idaho who have completed at least 9th grade, including graduated seniors planning to attend U of I in the fall.
