S3 STEM Day Camp – Session 4 (Fall 2026)

Week-long STEM day camp for students in grades 3–8. Camp runs daily 9:00 AM–3:30 PM (drop-off starting at 8:45 AM). Campers must bring their own lunch; S3 provides drinks and morning/afternoon snacks. Campers should bring refillable water bottles. Early drop-off or late pick-up incurs a $10 penalty payable before the next camp day. Do not pay unless children are accepted; pre-payment without authorization is non-refundable. Activities include outdoor exploration, engineering challenges, and art projects across four integrated learning studios: Studio Move (physics, energy, robotics, mechanics), Studio Life (ecosystems, health, agriculture, animal/plant care), Studio Build (construction, circuits, design, prototyping), and Studio Art (technical drawing, communication design, modeling). Camp is hosted in partnership with Mississippi State Coastal Research and Extension in Biloxi and funded by the National Academies Gulf Research Program. Research on curriculum effectiveness is being conducted by the Center for STEM Education. Bullying and unsafe behavior are not permitted. In the event of severe weather, the University of Southern Mississippi reserves the right to cancel; refunds are only issued if the entire session cannot take place.

General Dynamics Electric Boat RI Explorer Program
