Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board Applications

The Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board application process opens in March and closes May 1, 2026. Applicants must be enrolled in 9th to 12th grade during the 2026-2027 school year. Each parish is allowed three applicants per ambassador and board. Each applicant may apply for two boards but can only serve on one State Leadership Board. Applications must be initiated by the 4-H Parish Agent within 4-HOnline system. Available boards include: Citizenship Board, Executive Board, Fashion Board, Food & Fitness Board, Shooting Sports Board, STEM Board, and various Ambassador programs (Equine, Livestock, Wetland).

Located near the apple orchards of Nebraska City, Catron Camp sits on 107 lush acres with a spacious lodge, craft/nature center, and Sky Camp at Trails End featuring eight elevated tree houses. For ages 8-18. Learn how to show and fit your livestock in preparation for your county fair or achievement day! Learn to groom, clip and show a variety of livestock. Participants will learn about proper ways of feeding and selecting competitive livestock projects. A showmanship contest will be held and awards will be given. Nebraska 4-H Premier Animal Science Event (PASE)

The Nebraska 4‑H Premier Animal Science Event (PASE) features a variety of state-level animal science contests held over two days at the Nebraska Animal Science Complex in Lincoln. Youth explore issues related to the animal industry, discover college and career opportunities, and work with other youth from across the state. Contests include livestock, meat, poultry, companion animal, and animal welfare judging, as well as livestock skill-a-thon and livestock quiz bowl. Youth can participate in multiple contests and will have opportunities to explore the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus, meet with faculty members and current college students. Pre-registration is required and completed by county Extension offices. Registration opens May 1 and closes May 29 at noon CST.
