Afternoon session discovery learning about farming and animals for rising 5th and 6th graders. Daily focus on different farm animals, morning chores, hayrides, marsh and crop walks, crafts, food nutrition study, sustainable agriculture education. Includes butter making, cheesemaking, ice cream making, clay work, painting, tie-dye, WebQuests, and iMovie projects.

The Agriculture & STEM Convergence Experience runs July 20–24, 2026. Open to rising 10th–12th graders or rising 1st-year college students planning to major in science. The week focuses on the connection between agriculture and STEM through convergence science, integrating science policy, environmental and economic impact, and problem-based learning. Activities include: hands-on laboratory experience in agricultural and environmental science, 3D printing skills applied to scientific applications, a visit to a pollinator bee center, a college tour with faculty and industry expert engagement, and collaborative team pitches addressing real-world STEM challenges. The program is a collaboration between UNCG, NC A&T, and the STEPS Science and Technology Center, with a focus on phosphorus sustainability. A parent and student informational session will be held in June.

4-H summer camp program with STEM activities and educational components

Field trips to university research labs, local farms, bee pollinator centers, and local museums are included.

Interactive agricultural education exhibit for children ages 2-10. Children become farmers and learn about agriculture through hands-on activities including garden, grain bin, apple orchard, chicken coop, tractor shed, sheep barn, and dairy barn. Includes farmers' market simulation and grocery store experience.

A County Fair-style festival featuring judging of vegetables, eggs, and flowers; agricultural demonstrations; craft vendors; food vendors; live music; livestock shows; youth activities; and competitions including Battle of the Bands. The fair runs Friday 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM with livestock shows, food trucks, craft vendors and Battle of the Bands, and Saturday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM with music headliner and all fair activities. Applications for educational booths, craft vendor booths, and food trucks are due August 7, 2026.

A Fun-filled, Family, Farm Festival celebrating all things agriculture. Features antique farm equipment demonstrations, tractor drives through the park on the hour, Pinewood Derby tractor races (free tractor kits available in JUMP lobby during September), carnival games, cupcake walk, educational agriculture booths and demos, live music & entertainment, food trucks, prizes, 5-story spiral slide rides, face painting and more. Learn about agriculture, tractors, and their important role in farming and feeding Americans.

The premier agricultural education and industry exposition featuring more than 100 educational sessions, 600 exhibits, comprehensive field crop demonstrations, career exploration fair, and immersive virtual reality videos of agricultural activities. Exhibitor applications are also being accepted for 2025.

Every October, Elk Grove Park is transformed into the ultimate autumn celebration, attracting pumpkin enthusiasts from far and wide. Since 1994, the festival has been a beacon for giant pumpkin growers competing for glory. Features carnival rides, entertainment, crafts, food trucks, pumpkin sales, and the unique Pumpkin Regatta where massive pumpkins are turned into canoes for racing across the lake. Various contests available with cash prizes including art, pumpkin recipes, cupcake baking, and scarecrow creation. Free bike valet available.

Join us for Pumpkin Adventure 2026! Your adventure will include a hayride around the grounds of the Ag Museum which will drop you off for a yummy snack. Feel free to explore Small Town, Mississippi, visit the General Store and tour the Heritage Center Gallery. On your way out, stop by the Pumpkin Patch and choose your very own pie pumpkin to take home with you! Groups of 10 or more MUST make a reservation by phone. October 10, 17 & 24 are Pumpkin Adventure Family Days with adjusted hours from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Multiple date ranges: October 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 2026. The N.C. State Fair creates an experience unique to North Carolina with free entertainment, thrilling rides and games, thousands of animals, endless family activities, competitions, vendors and creative deep-fried delights. Features agricultural exhibits, livestock shows, and promotes North Carolina agriculture and livestock industry.

The Bart Nelson Memorial Sheep Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors from Iowa, who have been involved in sheep projects or activities. Students planning to attend a community college, college, or university in Iowa are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students who show a desire to remain active in the sheep industry after graduation. Expected to reopen in November 2026 with deadline in February 2027.

The annual Harvest Festival takes place November 10-14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. daily. Features live demonstrations throughout the museum grounds including Cotton Gin, Saw Mill, Cane Mill, Print Shop, Blacksmith Shop operations. Wagon, Train, and Carousel Rides available for $1 per rider. General Store offers snacks and souvenirs. Reservations recommended for groups but not required. Event included with MS AG Museum Foundation membership on Saturday only.

The Davis Islands Garden Club Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors from Hillsborough County in Florida, planning to study a natural science subject. Special consideration is given to students who have attended one or both camps sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs: Camp Wekiva for younger children and/or SEEK (Save the Earth's Environment Through Knowledge) for teens. Minimum GPA requirement: 2.8. Application materials required: Essay and Letter of recommendation.

Scholarship for high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing postsecondary education in agriculture-related fields. Applicants or their parents must reside in the Premier membership area and be active Premier customers. Expected to reopen November 2026 with deadline January 2027.
