In this summer camp, youth will plant seeds, whip up delicious snacks, and uncover the amazing ways agriculture helps feed people everywhere. Forage 2 Farm

This four-day immersive STEM camp will provide students with hands-on experiences in foraging and sustainable agriculture. Through hands on activities in foraging, farming, and ecology students will learn where our food comes from and how it impacts the environment around us. 2026 Swain County Agricultural Fair

A County Fair-style festival featuring judging of vegetables, eggs, and flowers; agricultural demonstrations; craft vendors; food vendors; live music; livestock shows; youth activities; and competitions including Battle of the Bands. Bart Nelson Memorial Sheep Scholarship

The Bart Nelson Memorial Sheep Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors from Iowa, who have been involved in sheep projects or activities. Students planning to attend a community college, college, or university in Iowa are encouraged to apply. 2026 Harvest Fest

The annual Harvest Festival takes place November 10-14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. daily. Features live demonstrations throughout the museum grounds including Cotton Gin, Saw Mill, Cane Mill, Print Shop, Blacksmith Shop operations.
