3-day hands-on laboratory course for Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach Program. Provides hands-on experience with standardized canine posture assessment, exercise form, and program design with live dogs. Covers basic exercise physiology, dog training, gait training, strengthening exercises, balance and proprioceptive exercises. Students will demonstrate understanding of concepts from online coursework and participate in mock classes. 27 contact hours total. Registration starts at 8:30am, course runs 9:00am-6:00pm daily. Students may bring approved dogs or work with provided dogs. Course taught in English.

Part of the Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC) program. 3-day hands-on laboratory focusing on practical application of canine fitness concepts. Requires completion of CSCC I online module first.

Two sessions offered: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (CST). Students will hear from Zoetis Global Animal Health and veterinary science students from Kansas State University and the University of Missouri about careers in animal science and veterinary paths. Students will also tour barns to interact with livestock exhibitors and meet cattle that will be competing in the show. Part of a fall series of three program days for high school agriculture and animal science students throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Two sessions offered: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (CST). Students will watch the American Saddlebred competition at the American Royal UPHA National Championships and learn about horse shows, careers in the equine industry, and the American Saddlebred breed from staff and volunteers from the American Saddlebred Association, including experienced trainers and, in past years, national champions. Part of a fall series of three program days for high school agriculture and animal science students throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

A 27-hour virtual hands-on laboratory course for canine fitness professionals. Participants will be guided through standardized canine posture assessment, exercise form, and program design with live dogs. The course covers basic exercise physiology, dog training, gait training, strengthening exercises, balance and proprioceptive exercises, and wellness/prevention exercises. Students will demonstrate understanding of concepts learned in the online portion, practice with dogs, participate in mock classes, and learn to conduct private lessons both in-person and online. Schedule: Registration 8:30am PST, Course 9:00am-6:00pm PST daily from November 20-22, 2026. Prerequisites: Online lectures for CSCC I must be completed before attending labs. Course taught in English.
