Life Science Cares is the life sciences industry's home for giving back. In Philadelphia, we disrupt poverty by expanding access, meeting our community needs, strengthening workforce pathways, and ensuring more people have the opportunity to build careers in our region's life sciences industry. A four-part convening series for Greater Philadelphia's life sciences community.

Homeschool Day at the Poe Center is designed exclusively for homeschool students to provide them with opportunities to interact with peers and other co-ops, all the while engaging in the Poe Center's effective and immersive health-science programs. Event runs 10:00 am - 1:00 pm ET.

Second orientation session: Thursday 9/24/2026 (4pm-6pm). It is mandatory for volunteers to attend ONE orientation session before scheduling volunteer time with Forsyth Humane Society (FHS). After completing orientation, students will be able to volunteer in a variety of ways, including shadowing a veterinarian during surgery and assisting with tasks in the FHS Education Department.

A 3-hour STEAM Workshop for 6th-8th graders (Group 2) introducing biomedical engineering. Students attend the entire 3-hour session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET). Part of CEISMC Expanded Learning Programs' fall lineup at Georgia Tech. Note: Listed as FULL at time of page capture.

A highly anticipated biennial event bringing the most promising life sciences companies from the Rocky Mountain West together with leading investors and strategic partners. Features nearly 40 presenting companies across biotech, pharma, medical device, diagnostics, digital health, ag bio, and animal health. Includes structured one-on-one partnering and insights into Colorado's role as a center for innovation at the intersection of life sciences and quantum computing. Hosted by Colorado BioScience Association.

Academic Day designed for students interested in pursuing a pre-health pathway at ECU. Includes an Admissions Information Session and walking tour of Main Campus, followed by a pre-health focused session exploring academic pathways, opportunities, and resources for students preparing for professional school. Covers pre-med, pre-dental, and other pre-professional fields. Runs 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

VetAspire is a one-day program enabling a select group of high school and undergraduate students to spend a day at MSU CVM. Sessions begin at 8:00am and end at 4:00pm (13:00-21:00 UTC). Up to 10 students are selected per session. Participants experience key components of the veterinary medicine profession, different career avenues, veterinary curriculum and classroom instruction, hands-on learning in laboratory/field/clinic settings, and interaction with multiple species of animals. An excuse is provided to those who attend since the program takes place during school hours. Program is specifically for high school sophomores to college seniors who are educationally, economically and/or socially disadvantaged.

Two sessions offered: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (CST). Students will hear from Zoetis Global Animal Health and veterinary science students from Kansas State University and the University of Missouri about careers in animal science and veterinary paths. Students will also tour barns to interact with livestock exhibitors and meet cattle that will be competing in the show. Part of a fall series of three program days for high school agriculture and animal science students throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Sanford PROMISE Biomedical Research Investigation Days event at the Sanford PROMISE Community Lab. Event runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM local time on October 13, 2026.

Virtual Academic Day for prospective students interested in ECU's College of Nursing. Includes a BSN information session and virtual tour of the College of Nursing labs. Runs 5:30–6:30 p.m.

BioNetwork hosts Career Fairs in partnership with biopharmaceutical and life science companies in North Carolina. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time on October 20, 2026. BioNetwork is the Life Science Training Initiative of the North Carolina Community College System, providing industry-driven economic and workforce development for the biotechnology and life science industries.

RMU Health and Medical Exploration Program at UCAS. This is a recurring program that meets monthly (Sep 16, Oct 21, Nov 18). UCAS is an early college high school with a STEM emphasis partnered with Utah Valley University.

SCRUBS Camp is a day of exploration for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors curious about the healthcare industry. The first half features patient treatment processes in different departments of the Sanford Health System along with a tour. The second half takes place at Lake Area Technical College with a provided lunch and tour. Limited to 60 students. 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Career fair for 9th and 10th grade Health Sciences Academy (HSA) students hosted at ECU Health Medical Center (Eastern AHEC) in Greenville, NC. The event highlights many healthcare careers represented by clinical staff at ECU Health Medical Center. Staff members will share their passion for their jobs and discuss their career paths. Includes interactive tables for 9th-grade students to engage in hands-on learning and ask questions of representatives. Bus transportation will be provided. Students will receive an excused absence for classes missed while attending. The CDC will work with students and schools to ensure transportation and attendance matters are addressed.

Hands-on activities and tours with different departments at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Covers patient and non-patient facing healthcare careers. Hear from employees about the organization and job opportunities for high school students. Designed for 10th-12th grade students interested in healthcare careers. A 'Participation and Media Release Form' signed by both student and guardian is required (sent via email after registration). Lunch provided. Due to capacity constraints, registering more than 5 students requires emailing Lisa Morlock to confirm availability. Transportation is student's responsibility.
