Geeks for Kids - Star Shot: Designing the Next Generation Vehicles

Recurring Saturday volunteer sessions from 9am to Noon (local time). Geeks for Kids is a program that builds adaptive ride-on cars for children with disabilities. The Star Shot series focuses on designing next generation vehicles. Destination STEM Expo

Destination STEM Expo is an interactive experience where sixth through ninth grade students explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on exhibits and demonstrations. Students are encouraged to see, touch, hear and experience the many wonders of science while discovering new areas of interest. The event also introduces students to the Auburn University campus and the opportunities available through the College of Sciences and Mathematics. Schools are invited to register for scheduled visit times during the event. Destination STEM was supported as a Tiger Giving Day project in 2025.

VetAspire - Fall 2026: Friday, October 2

VetAspire is a one-day program enabling a select group of high school and undergraduate students to spend a day at MSU CVM. Sessions begin at 8:00am and end at 4:00pm (13:00-21:00 UTC). Up to 10 students are selected per session. Participants experience key components of the veterinary medicine profession, different career avenues, veterinary curriculum and classroom instruction, hands-on learning in laboratory/field/clinic settings, and interaction with multiple species of animals. An excuse is provided to those who attend since the program takes place during school hours. Program is specifically for high school sophomores to college seniors who are educationally, economically and/or socially disadvantaged.
