Part of the YMCA Achievers Program college tour series. All-day college tour for teens ages 13-18 (grades 8-12). The Achievers Program is a data-driven initiative that develops individual talents, enhances leadership skills, and prepares participants for life beyond high school. Features a teen-focused leadership curriculum from the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC.

Virtual help session for 4-H staff, volunteers, parents, guardians and other adults who support youth with project records in the new Kaleidoscope online system. Participants are encouraged to access and explore Kaleidoscope beforehand and come prepared with questions about navigating the system, the online project record process, and supporting 4-H'ers. STEMtember Day of Giving for DSST Public Schools, a network of open enrollment STEM charter schools in Denver and Aurora, Colorado. DSST schools are widely considered among the leading open enrollment STEM schools in the United States.

Fort Valley Middle School has announced a September 23, 2026 start for its STARBASE Advanced club. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 3:00–5:00 p.m. This is an after-school STEM club for middle school students affiliated with STARBASE Robins. News published September 14, 2026. Work together and play games to solve spatial reasoning challenges! For children Grades 3-5. Registration required.

Second orientation session: Thursday 9/24/2026 (4pm-6pm). It is mandatory for volunteers to attend ONE orientation session before scheduling volunteer time with Forsyth Humane Society (FHS). After completing orientation, students will be able to volunteer in a variety of ways, including shadowing a veterinarian during surgery and assisting with tasks in the FHS Education Department.

Just in time for National Fossil Day, kids and teens ages 9 and older are invited to learn about the geologic history of North Dakota when staff from the FM Science Museum visit the library. Participants will examine and touch real fossils from across North Dakota's past, then uncover their own fossils in a hands-on mini fossil excavation. Pre-registration opens September 11.

Recurring Saturday volunteer sessions from 9am to Noon (local time). Geeks for Kids is a program that builds adaptive ride-on cars for children with disabilities. The Star Shot series focuses on designing next generation vehicles. Session dates: September 26 2026, October 24 2026, November 28 2026, January 23 2027, February 27 2027, March 27 2027, April 24 2027. Volunteers with skills in CAD, engineering (design, mechanical, electrical, robotics), software development, graphic design, physical/occupational therapy, project management, and sewing are sought.

Half-day event for middle school students (grades 6-8) encouraging hands-on activities related to engineering, math, and science. Activities held on the first floor of Whitaker Hall at FGCU. Sign-in begins at 8:30 AM, program starts around 9:00 AM and ends at 12:30 PM. Previous activities have included bioengineering, chemistry, biological science, biotechnology, forensics, astronomy, math, civil engineering, and environmental science. Students interact with FGCU STEM majors and faculty. Registration opens September 6th; open until full. Parent permission collected in writing. No parent/guardian presence required during the event.

Kids Building Minnesota is a FREE, hands-on construction event for kids and families designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and interest in the construction industry. Kids will get the chance to explore real construction equipment, try interactive hands-on exhibits, and learn how things are built -- all in a fun, safe, and family-friendly environment. With numerous exhibits, live demonstrations, and industry professionals on hand, it's a full day of learning and excitement. Join us for rides in real construction equipment, hands-on building activities and games, interactive STEM and trade exhibits, face painting, bouncy house, food trucks, and more! The first 700 kids receive a construction goodie bag and hard hat! Event runs 9am-3pm CDT.

A 4-session interactive workshop for kids and teens ages 10-15, held on Saturdays 1:00–3:00 PM on September 26, October 3, 10, and 17, 2026. Students learn to develop 3D Virtual Reality experiences using the Unity game engine and Meta Quest (Oculus) headsets. Session breakdown: Session 1 (Sep 26) – Unity Foundations & 3D World Building; Session 2 (Oct 3) – VR Rig Integration & Controller Input; Session 3 (Oct 10) – Physics, Mechanics & Game Scripting; Session 4 (Oct 17) – Testing, Optimization & Project Showcase. Science Saturday is a hands-on STEM event featuring engaging science activities and experiments for children and their caregivers. Part of the Washington State University Cougs & Cubs Club, open to Cougs from all WSU campuses including students, alumni, faculty, and staff who are caregivers or have children.
