MSEN Students Exposed to Future STEM Careers During Lenovo Field Trip

Lenovo's BLAST (Black Leaders Achieving Success in Technology) employee resource group hosted nearly 200 middle and high school students from the NC MSEN Pre-College Program for a day of tours, career conversations, and hands-on activities. Students came from Edgecombe County, Durham County, Halifax County, and Wake County Public Schools. Activities included touring Lenovo's Executive Briefing Center, learning about design thinking, educational boards, UX and accessibility, a STEAM rotation station, and hands-on work with microprocessors including connecting Arduino Pis to LED lights and laptops. The event was part of Lenovo's seventh Global Month of Service. Lenovo has donated over $40,000 to the MSEN program over three years.
