Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation's Girls in STEM Symposium is a one day event designed to inspire and empower middle and high school girls (7th grade through 12th grade) to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The 2026 event will feature a stronger focus on hands-on activities, streamlined speaker schedule with more Q&A time, expanded vendor and scientist displays, informational tables closer to pavilion area for meeting STEM professionals during breaks, and programming designed to maximize student engagement and discovery through small-group interactions and instructor-led demos.

Lenovo's BLAST (Black Leaders Achieving Success in Technology) employee resource group hosted nearly 200 middle and high school students from the NC MSEN Pre-College Program for a day of tours, career conversations, and hands-on activities. Students came from Edgecombe County, Durham County, Halifax County, and Wake County Public Schools. Activities included touring Lenovo's Executive Briefing Center, learning about design thinking, educational boards, UX and accessibility, a STEAM rotation station, and hands-on work with microprocessors including connecting Arduino Pis to LED lights and laptops. The event was part of Lenovo's seventh Global Month of Service. Lenovo has donated over $40,000 to the MSEN program over three years.

The Rootle Roadster Tour offers free hands-on experiences for families, specially designed to support children ages 8 and under. Activities include STEM experiments, literacy games, and social-emotional learning exercises. Multi-day event: Wednesday Sept 23, 1–8 PM; Thursday & Friday Sept 24–25, 9 AM–8 PM; Saturday Sept 26, 9 AM–2 PM (all times ET). Partners include the Macon County Fair and Region A Partnership for Children.

Half-day event for middle school students (grades 6-8) encouraging hands-on activities related to engineering, math, and science. Activities held on the first floor of Whitaker Hall at FGCU. Sign-in begins at 8:30 AM, program starts around 9:00 AM and ends at 12:30 PM. Previous activities have included bioengineering, chemistry, biological science, biotechnology, forensics, astronomy, math, civil engineering, and environmental science. Students interact with FGCU STEM majors and faculty. Registration opens September 6th; open until full. Parent permission collected in writing. No parent/guardian presence required during the event.

Presented by the Des Moines Izaak Walton League. Activities include virtual skeet shooting, fishing (cast a line), archery (shoot a bow), slingshot range, BB gun range, animal presentations, minnow races, crafts, frisbee golf, temporary tattoos and face painting. Kids Building Minnesota 2026 is a free, interactive, and educational event for kids that celebrates the world of construction, engineering, and skilled trades. The event runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (CT). Activities include: getting up close and riding in real construction equipment, hands-on building activities, interactive STEM and trade exhibits, build projects to take home, interacting with industry professionals, and family-friendly learning for kids ages 4-12. Science Saturday is a hands-on STEM event featuring engaging science activities and experiments for children and their caregivers. Part of the Washington State University Cougs & Cubs Club, open to Cougs from all WSU campuses including students, alumni, faculty, and staff who are caregivers or have children. The club hosts three recurring events each month: Caregivers Night-In, Family Book Reading Night, and Science Saturday. Series runs through 12/31/2028.

"STEM-ulate Your Mind Fun Day" is a 1-day event consisting of physical, fun, educational, and STEM activities for youth. STEM activities foster creativity and innovation, build social and teamwork skills, prepare youth for future careers, and build personal development and confidence. The event also addresses youth obesity in Arkansas by incorporating healthy physical activities. Youth will get their minds and bodies ready for the upcoming school year. Food, healthy snacks, and pamphlets on stimulating activities they can do at home will be provided. At the end of the event, every youth participant will receive a backpack filled with grade-specific school supplies and a savings account sponsored by Entergy. Event runs 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time.
