NC Museum of Transportation: All Aboard! Steam Over Spencer

All aboard! Join us for the Steam Over Spencer: A Live Steam Model Train Event featuring several large operating model train displays with scale model locomotives powered by live steam! A large variety of locomotives and railroad cars will be featured during this event. These locomotives produce their own power from a variety of fuel sources rather than being powered by an electric current through the track. Owners of these fascinating models are expected to come from across the country. The museum's regular exhibits will be open and train rides are available for an additional price on Saturday and Sunday. Event will be held rain or shine. First Thursday - March

Visit MOHAI on the First Thursday of every month for free admission to the museum's permanent exhibits between 5--8 pm. Cub Scout Transportation Explorer Day

Come out to the North Carolina Transportation Museum for a day of Scouting fun. All Cub Scouts, whether you're a Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelo/Arrow of Light, will have the opportunity to become a Transportation Explorer and complete the requirements for several transportation related Belt Loops/Pins. Participating Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears will each earn two Adventure Loops while Webelo and Arrow of Light participants will earn one Adventure Pin. During the day, enjoy our Cub Scout Day activities, a train ride, scavenger hunt, and much more. Lunch will be provided for all event ticket holders. This is a great opportunity for cubs to interact with other packs/dens, make connections, and build relationships. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pre-registration is required for this event.
