Celebrate Read Across America with Clifford the Big Red Dog

Celebrate Read Across America at the library! Montgomery County Public Libraries and the Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) Heyman Interages Center are celebrating Read Across America Week with one-on-one reading opportunities and a meet-and-greet with Clifford the Big Red Dog. Children can read one-on-one with a trained JCA volunteer or have a story read to them. First 40 children to read with a volunteer receive a FREE Clifford book. Located in 5th floor conference room. Join us for a multisensory book and storytelling session for neurodivergent children & children with intellectual disabilities who learn best through sensory play. Each fun original story has an educational component and an inclusive message. The storytelling sessions are interactive, with sensory props and storyboards used to engage the young audience with gentle sounds, scent, touch, and sight accompanying the story.
