Learn about the properties of waves, magnetism, sound, light, and many more as we explore God's creation in the natural world. Each session will support the topic through hands-on application while students collaborate together to solve problems and design experiments. Open to students ages 11 to 18. Crafting Botanicals with Paper: Trilliums

In celebration of spring ephemerals, this paper botanical workshop focuses on trilliums, which emerge in March and typically bloom through April. Trillium catesbaei (rosy wakerobin) and Trillium discolor (pale yellow trillium) will be featured. Participants will use crepe paper to make a life-size replica of two trillium plants while learning about the botanical characteristics of this genus. No previous experience needed, but requires use of scissors and good finger dexterity. Materials provided, 30-minute lunch break (bring your own).
