The Central Gulf Coast Regional Hurricane Bowl is a National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) regional competition open to students from MS, AL, LA, FL, TN, and AR. Up to 20 teams will compete for the 2027 Hurricane Bowl Champions title and the right to compete in the National Ocean Science Bowl in the spring. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Each team must have 4 members plus an optional alternate and optional assistant coach. Schools are encouraged to prioritize one ('A') team, but a second ('B') team may be permitted if space is available. B team acceptance notification occurs after the registration deadline. All forms (Team Registration, Coach Registration, Parental Consent) are due by January 15, 2027. The National Ocean Science Bowl Finals Competition (Virtual) date is TBD. Team registration deadline is TBD. Roster modifications are permitted until January 15, 2027.
