C.A.R.E. Camp is for students in grades 2nd-4th, and D.A.R.E. Camp is for students in grades 5th-7th. The camps run four hours a day (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM) from July 27 to July 31, 2026. Open to homeschoolers and private school children. Application deadline is June 15, 2026.

This camp will introduce students to crime scene investigations and forensics. Students will use these techniques to solve an actual crime and collect evidence at a crime scene. Dates: July 27-30, 2026 (Monday-Thursday), 1-4 p.m. Sponsored by ECC's Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning departments.

FIRST® LEGO® League announces the BIOGLOW™ season, releasing August 4, 2026. This will be the final season of the FIRST LEGO League program and includes two editions: Founders Edition and Future Edition. BIOGLOW is part of the FIRST® CANOPY™ season. The theme centers on biodiversity and ecosystems. Founders Edition: For FIRST LEGO League Explore (ages 6-10) and Challenge (ages 9-16, varies by country) teams using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ technology. Explore students focus on engineering fundamentals and hands-on problem solving using SPIKE™ Essential. Challenge students program a SPIKE™ Prime robot to autonomously complete missions in 2.5-minute matches and explore the biodiversity theme in the Innovation Project. Future Edition: For grades K-2/ages 5-7 and grades 3-8/ages 8-16 (ages vary by country). Teams use LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI kits, build and code wireless hardware, and compete in an alliance-based game. The Innovation Project explores biodiversity and the balance between nature and humans. The program operates in 110+ countries with 679,000+ participants and 3,700+ events globally. After School Care at the YMCA of Greensboro for the 2026-2027 school year. Program serves youth in Kindergarten through Middle School. Locations: Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA, Ragsdale Family YMCA, Spears Family YMCA (Guilford County); Eden Family YMCA, Reidsville Family YMCA (Rockingham County). After School Hours: Monday-Friday 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. All Day Care Hours: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Programming includes homework support, STEAM exploration, creative arts, movement-based activities, and character development. Three tiers available: After School (regular school days and early release days), After School Plus (adds All Day Care on teacher workdays, select holidays, seasonal camps, and inclement weather care), and All Day Care Drop-In (individual days). Reidsville YMCA also offers tutoring for grades 3-12 in math, reading, English, and writing. Please allow a minimum of 2 business days after registration before child may begin attending. One-time registration fee of $50 per child at Guilford County locations.

The After School Program provides enrichment learning including physical activity and fitness, homework assistance, and STEAM-based activities in the areas of science, engineering, art, music, and more. The program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 PM Monday through Friday when school is in session, following the Orange County Schools Traditional Academic Calendar. Serves students enrolled at Central, Grady Brown, New Hope, Pathways, and River Park Elementary schools. Transportation from those schools to Central Recreation Center is provided via County-owned 15-passenger vans. Daily schedule includes physical activity, snack, homework help or quiet self-directed activity, theme/enrichment activity, and activity centers. Snack is provided. Priority registration given to returning students. No After School on OCS traditional calendar Teacher Workdays and School Holidays. Grades: Pre-K through 5th.

The YMCA of Greensboro After School Care program runs from August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027 (Guilford County) and May 28, 2027 (Rockingham County). After School hours are Monday–Friday 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. All Day Care hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Programming includes homework support, STEAM exploration, creative arts, movement-based activities, character development, and social-emotional growth. Available at Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA, Ragsdale Family YMCA, Spears Family YMCA (Guilford County) and Eden Family YMCA, Reidsville Family YMCA (Rockingham County). Serves youth in Kindergarten through Middle School. A one-time registration fee of $50 per child applies at some branches. Please allow a minimum of two business days after registration before child begins attending. The Reidsville Family YMCA also offers individualized tutoring for 3rd–12th grade students: three 30-minute sessions for Member $90 / Community Guest $120, covering Common Core math, reading comprehension, English literature, and writing.

Open House for students in PreK-12th grade on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm (ET) at each child's respective school location. Parents will have the opportunity to tour facilities and meet their child's teacher before the official start of school. More specific times will be provided for each location. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

A Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in South Carolina. Part of the iMAGINE STEAM program by South Carolina's Coalition for Mathematics & Science (SCCMS) at Clemson University.

Summit specifically focused on K-12 digital learning. Features distinguished thought leaders and discussions on digital education challenges and innovations in elementary and secondary education. Summit runs in two parts: 8:00-9:30 am and 10:30 am-12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.
