The YMCA of Greensboro offers After School Care programs for youth in Kindergarten through Middle School across Guilford and Rockingham Counties. Programs run Monday–Friday, 2:30–6:00 PM on regular school days and early release days. All Day Care is available 7:30 AM–6:00 PM on teacher workdays and select holidays. Programming includes homework support, STEAM exploration, creative arts, character development, movement-based activities, and social-emotional learning. Locations: Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA, Ragsdale Family YMCA, Spears Family YMCA (Guilford County); Eden Family YMCA, Reidsville Family YMCA (Rockingham County). Guilford County end date: June 10, 2027. Rockingham County end date: May 28, 2027. All Day Care Drop-In individual registration opens June 1. Please allow minimum 2 business days after registration before child begins attending. Reidsville YMCA also offers tutoring for grades 3–12 in Common Core math, reading comprehension, English literature, and writing; $90 Member / $120 Community Guest for three 30-minute sessions.

The After School Program provides enrichment learning including physical activity and fitness, homework assistance, and STEAM-based activities in the areas of science, engineering, art, music, and more. The program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 PM Monday through Friday when school is in session, following the Orange County Schools Traditional Academic Calendar. Serves students enrolled at Central, Grady Brown, New Hope, Pathways, and River Park Elementary schools. Transportation from those schools to Central Recreation Center is provided via County-owned 15-passenger vans. Daily schedule includes physical activity, snack, homework help or quiet self-directed activity, theme/enrichment activity, and activity centers. Snack is provided. Priority registration given to returning students. No After School on OCS traditional calendar Teacher Workdays and School Holidays. Grades: Pre-K through 5th.

The Reidsville Family YMCA also offers individualized tutoring for 3rd–12th grade students: three 30-minute sessions for Member $90 / Community Guest $120, covering Common Core math, reading comprehension, English literature, and writing.

Part of annual conference for afterschool providers offering professional development, technical assistance and networking with workshops on health and wellness, behavior management, STEM learning, leadership, and advocacy. Governor issued proclamation in honor of event.

STEM presentations by Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, interactive booths from afterschool programs, dental screenings, nutrition education programs, Oregon Health Plan registration. Event runs from 1:00 to 6:00 PM with up to 400 attendees expected.

Parade, rally and community festival featuring karate, robotics demonstrations, STEM activities, silly photo booth, relay races, edible art, drumming, reading stations, candy math, mystery science station and community resource booths. Multiple organizations participating including Girl Scouts, Public Library, Eastern Gateway Community College, and OH Wow! Children's Center for Science and Technology.

Guests enjoy a delicious dinner, live and silent auctions, and a short program highlighting club programs. Every dollar raised supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County programs, providing thousands of children with a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive. The event supports essential programs including AmeriCorps STEM Initiative - offering hands-on STEM education and mentorship, afterschool programs, NetPositive digital safety education, and child nutrition programs.
