Fort Valley Middle School has announced a September 23, 2026 start for its STARBASE Advanced club. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 3:00–5:00 p.m. This is an after-school STEM club for middle school students affiliated with STARBASE Robins. News published September 14, 2026. TCC Continuing Education's Fall 2026 After School Gaming & Coding series. Classes available include: YouTube Content Creators, Make Your First 3D Video Game, Young Investors and Entrepreneurs, Python Programmers, Roblox Club, Code Breakers, Minecraft Redstone Engineers, Roblox Makers, and Minecraft Modders. Classes meet for 4 weeks, 3 hours per week on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Some classes meet on Saturdays for 6 weeks. Programs begin October 3rd.

Part of annual conference for afterschool providers offering professional development, technical assistance and networking with workshops on health and wellness, behavior management, STEM learning, leadership, and advocacy. Governor issued proclamation in honor of event.

Lights On Afterschool returns October 22, 2026 for its 27th annual edition — the nation's only celebration of afterschool and out-of-school time programs. Events take place at more than 8,000 locations attended by over 1 million Americans. The 2026 poster was designed by Sarah R., a 7th grader at South Asian Youth Action. Programs that register are eligible to win prizes from partners. A poster contest is also open for 2026, seeking artwork representing the spirit of afterschool programs including murals, paintings, and social media graphics. Past Lights On Afterschool events have spotlighted hands-on STEM learning, including programming robots, launching rocket parachutes, spooky science labs, and math activities.

Parade, rally and community festival featuring karate, robotics demonstrations, STEM activities, silly photo booth, relay races, edible art, drumming, reading stations, candy math, mystery science station and community resource booths. Multiple organizations participating including Girl Scouts, Public Library, Eastern Gateway Community College, and OH Wow! Children's Center for Science and Technology.

STEM presentations by Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, interactive booths from afterschool programs, dental screenings, nutrition education programs, Oregon Health Plan registration. Event runs from 1:00 to 6:00 PM with up to 400 attendees expected.

Guests enjoy a delicious dinner, live and silent auctions, and a short program highlighting club programs. Every dollar raised supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County programs, providing thousands of children with a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive. The event supports essential programs including AmeriCorps STEM Initiative - offering hands-on STEM education and mentorship, afterschool programs, NetPositive digital safety education, and child nutrition programs.

Spring 2027 Aerospace & Rocketry afterschool program for K-8 students in Minneapolis Public Schools. Students train like astronauts, rocket scientists, flight engineers, and drone pilots. Activities include designing and flying hot air balloons, gliders, pressurized water rockets, and solid-fuel rockets. Students collect launch data and tweak prototypes for maximum altitude, applying the physics of flight and Newton's laws. Older students engage in higher-level aerospace engineering: designing precision model planes, navigating multi-rotor drones, and launching solid-fuel rockets; analyzing pitch, roll, yaw, and thrust-to-weight ratios; tracking peak altitudes with altimeters and deploying recovery systems. Offered at multiple elementary and middle school locations. GEMS serves girls; GISE serves boys. Supported by Minneapolis Public School District, Minneapolis Federation of Teachers, and Achieve! Twin Cities.
