The Tulsa Fire Department is partnering with Manna Air Delivery, an Ireland-based autonomous drone delivery company, to showcase how air delivery for emergency response looks in practice. The public presentation will demonstrate capabilities of drone delivery for emergency response, logistics, and daily life. Tulsa Fire Department already uses Drone as a First Responder (DFR) for specialty rescue and large-incident support. The event is on September 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM local time (23:00 UTC) at Tulsa Tech Lemley Memorial Campus. Space is limited; attendees must register online.

AeroChapter is a school-year program for ages 12-16 running approximately October 1 through March 31. Emphasizes piloting and flying with a well-rounded curriculum covering all aspects of flight and airport operations. Includes ground school, one solo private pilot session, and three group flights with pre-flight safety checks, weather evaluation, route planning, and air traffic communications. Both flight time and ground school time are logged. Recommended for 16-year-olds pursuing a Private Pilot's license. Cadets are encouraged to purchase a pilot's logbook. This program is a continuation option for AeroCamp graduates.

The North Little Rock Airshow takes place October 3-4, 2026. Kids 12 & under receive FREE admission thanks to the North Little Rock Jet Center. The Kids Zone features climbing walls, a mechanical bull, and hands-on STEM activities.

Pre-conference half-day hybrid workshop and field trip on Friday, October 9, 2026 (afternoon). Audience: Physical Science, Life Science, Earth & Space Science, Engineering & Technology, General Science, Education Research, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, STEM (integrated). Description: Hands-on energy and electricity workshop followed by a tour of the Pendleton UAS Drone Testing Range, one of the largest Unmanned Aircraft Systems facilities in the US. Topics include: energy as a crosscutting concept, renewable energy sources measurement, energy storage (rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors), energy conversion (LEDs, motors, sensors), design/test/iterate a model electric vehicle, and methods for finding place-based anchors in your own district. Conference registration for Saturday is not required to attend pre-conference events.

As part of the Cool Science Festival, Challenger Learning Center of Colorado will collaborate with Space Foundation Discovery Center and the Colorado Springs Rocket Society for a 'Rocket Revolution' Second Saturday event held at Challenger from 9AM-12PM on October 10th, 2026. Spring 2027 Aerospace & Rocketry afterschool program for K-8 students in Minneapolis Public Schools. Students train like astronauts, rocket scientists, flight engineers, and drone pilots. Activities include designing and flying hot air balloons, gliders, pressurized water rockets, and solid-fuel rockets. Students collect launch data and tweak prototypes for maximum altitude, applying the physics of flight and Newton's laws. Older students engage in higher-level aerospace engineering: designing precision model planes, navigating multi-rotor drones, and launching solid-fuel rockets; analyzing pitch, roll, yaw, and thrust-to-weight ratios; tracking peak altitudes with altimeters and deploying recovery systems. Offered at multiple elementary and middle school locations. GEMS serves girls; GISE serves boys. Supported by Minneapolis Public School District, Minneapolis Federation of Teachers, and Achieve! Twin Cities.
