NASA Day at the Clay Center

NASA Day offers hands-on learning experiences engaging students in a variety of STEM concepts. Students can participate in STEM workshops with professionals from across the state and learn about the formation of Earth in a showing at the Caperton Planetarium and Theater. Event runs from 9AM to 1:30PM ET. Recommended for students in grades 6-8. Due to limited space, smaller groups under 50 students will be given first priority. Travel grants are available for those that need assistance.

Enjoy an uplifting experience at the exact location where aviation was born at the annual Celebration of the Wright Brothers First Flight at the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kill Devil Hills. This day-long celebration honors the historic first powered flight by Wilbur and Orville Wright in 1903. The Memorial also features exhibits from NASA.
