Sensory-Friendly Day invites families to experience Connecticut Science Center in a calmer, more comfortable environment. Through thoughtful environmental adjustments and a supportive atmosphere, we aim to reduce sensory barriers and create space for exploration, comfort, and choice. Features include reduced sound levels, adjusted lighting, quiet spaces for rest, flexible exploration, and supportive staff. Open to individuals with sensory sensitivities, neurodivergent visitors, families seeking a calmer experience, and anyone who prefers a quieter way to explore. Some exhibits may be adjusted or temporarily closed to reduce sound or lighting effects.
