The University of Texas Chemistry Camp focuses on sparking excitement about chemistry for students who will have graduated from 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade by Summer 2026. Students will explore concepts including atomic scale, chromatography, density, endothermic & exothermic reactions, experimental design, phase transitions, physical & chemical properties, polymers, and temperature & states of matter. Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily with hands-on activities, college/career exploration opportunities, games, and sports at Gregory Gym.

Chocolate, marshmallows, chewing gum, cotton candy - these candy experiments will give you a serious sugar rush. Have some fun and play with your food while learning the science behind it. Just don't eat anything that was in a lab environment! Ages 8-11. 3 session camp running Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Room: 050. CEUs: 1.08.

Monday Meetups for ages 7-11 are all about fun and games. But they are also all about fostering social and emotional well-being in every participant. In every iteration, this program strives to empower each participant through cognitive challenges, positive social interaction, and active learning. Each meetup is planned with micro learning lessons, while still allowing for student choice to drive the direction of the day's activity in a fun, low pressure environment. This program supports Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and PA Forward(R) Civic-Social Literacy. Registrations open at 4:30pm Monday, July 6, 2026. Recurring dates: August 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2026.

The After School Program provides enrichment learning including physical activity and fitness, homework assistance, and STEAM-based activities in the areas of science, engineering, art, music, and more. The program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 PM Monday through Friday when school is in session, following the Orange County Schools Traditional Academic Calendar. Serves students enrolled at Central, Grady Brown, New Hope, Pathways, and River Park Elementary schools. Transportation from those schools to Central Recreation Center is provided via County-owned 15-passenger vans. Daily schedule includes physical activity, snack, homework help or quiet self-directed activity, theme/enrichment activity, and activity centers. Snack is provided. Priority registration given to returning students. No After School on OCS traditional calendar Teacher Workdays and School Holidays. Grades: Pre-K through 5th.

Summit specifically focused on K-12 digital learning. Features distinguished thought leaders and discussions on digital education challenges and innovations in elementary and secondary education. Summit runs in two parts: 8:00-9:30 am and 10:30 am-12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.
