Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board Applications

The Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board application process opens in March and closes May 1, 2026. Applicants must be enrolled in 9th to 12th grade during the 2026-2027 school year. Each parish is allowed three applicants per ambassador and board. Each applicant may apply for two boards but can only serve on one State Leadership Board. Applications must be initiated by the 4-H Parish Agent within 4-HOnline system. Available boards include: Citizenship Board, Executive Board, Fashion Board, Food & Fitness Board, Shooting Sports Board, STEM Board, and various Ambassador programs (Equine, Livestock, Wetland).

The Leadership Summit is an opportunity for the State Officer Candidates and the State Nominating Committee to meet and prepare for the interview process at the State FFA Convention. State Officer Candidates will walk through and experience first-hand the entire SOC interview process. Candidates will meet with the current and past State Officers, take part in leadership training and participate in mock interviews and receive real-time feedback to best prepare them for the full interview process in June. State Nominating Committee Members will learn about the importance of the nominating committee and their role in selecting the next State Officer team.
