The 4-H year begins October 1 annually. Explore programs across Idaho that connect youth with experiential learning, leadership and community projects through your local 4-H chapter. Listed as Fall 2026.

INL STEM Day will be October 14th from 1:00 to 4:00pm for children ages 8-12. The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) will be bringing their STEM trailer and there will be many hands-on activities.

Campus Day is BYU-Idaho's signature recruitment event for high school students and their families. The day includes check-in (8:30–9:30 AM), a pre-show with dance groups, pep band, and dunk team (9:00–9:25 AM), an opening session (9:30–10:00 AM), a Department Fair (10:00–11:30 AM), campus tours every 15–30 minutes (11:00 AM–3:00 PM), a Student Living & Housing Fair (11:30 AM–3:00 PM), Financial Aid Breakout Sessions (12:00–1:00 PM), Department Tours including Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, Manufacturing Tech, Horticulture, and more (1:00–2:00 PM), application help (11:00 AM–3:00 PM), bowling at Strike Zone (11:00 AM–5:00 PM), a ropes course by appointment, and lunch via food voucher. Walk-in registration accepted on the day. Prospective students ages 13+ and admitted students should register separately.

Designed for high school students, families and curious learners of all ages. Vandal Science Day invites participants to explore real-world research, connect with faculty and students, and experience how science shapes our world. Scheduled for November 2026.

All families are invited to join the NEW Idaho Falls Public Library Family STEM Adventures! This new club meets every other Friday starting November 17th from 1-2 pm (Mountain Time).

Open to graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college, or college students enrolling in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college.

For graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate college students attending or planning to attend a college or university in Idaho and majoring in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics. Or for any student who is also a current Wildland Firefighter majoring in any subject. Tagged STEM and Vocational.

For graduating seniors or graduates of high schools in Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, or Nez Perce counties. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must be pursuing a STEM degree. Preference for students attending college in Idaho, Washington, or Oregon.

For graduating high school seniors planning to major in math, science, or engineering at a four-year college or university in Idaho. Minimum GPA of 3.0.
