Junior Veterinarians Camp: STEM in Action! is a week-long STEM summer camp for ages 10–14 offered at 59+ locations across the US (including AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MN, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, DC, and online). Camp runs 9am–3pm daily (Mon–Fri), with optional early arrival from 8am and extended day until 5:45pm. Topics include: animal anatomy and physiology, veterinary simulations (diagnosing pretend patients), biology and chemistry experiments (vaccines, mock samples, animal nutrition), engineering challenges (designing enrichment toys and animal enclosures), Pet First Aid & Care Certification, and real-world case studies. Campers receive a Certificate of Excellence, camp t-shirt, and VIP lanyard. Staff-to-camper ratio is approximately 1:4 to 1:8. Instructors are recruited from top universities with less than 3% of applicants hired. Multiple weeks available throughout summer 2026; campers who attend multiple weeks advance in curriculum. An e-learning backup option may be offered if in-person camp cannot be held. A 5-day commuter-only intensive program for high school students interested in medical school and health professions. Features small group experience with medical faculty, hands-on clinical simulations, anatomy lab work, and medical case studies. Requires 1 year of high school biology and students must be 16+ by program start.

BGSU's Bachelor of Science in nursing degree prepares students for jobs as registered nurses. Join us at the BGSU Nurse Camp, where you will get a glimpse into the life of a nurse. Be a nurse for the day with real-life scenarios and evaluate your nursing skills while working your way through a trauma escape room. (Non-Residential Day Camp)

Three-day immersive STEM camp for rising 6th-8th graders. Hands-on learning experiences designed to spark curiosity and inspire future innovators. Daily hours 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Collaboration between School of Engineering and College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Medical microbiology course designed to foster scientific curiosity and critical thinking skills. Students will study microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites that cause diseases in humans. The course includes hands-on lab activities, case studies, and real-world examples. Students will analyze disease transmission, examine vaccine and antibiotic development, and investigate biochemical processes. Upon completion, students receive a Course Completion Certificate and Letter of Recognition. This is a Gifted course with specific eligibility requirements.

A 13-day intensive program combining residential and commuter options. Features extended experience with career seminars, medical Simulation Center work, capstone video project, and field trips to multiple campuses including Grafton Veterinary campus. Includes science communication skills development.

A two-week residential program exploring careers in medicine and health sciences through Kinesiology. Students will gain hands-on experience in physiology, biomechanics, physical therapy, and more. Includes lab experiments, fitness testing, personalized fitness plans, nutrition application, and CPR/AED certification. Classes run Monday-Friday 9am-4pm with evening social activities. Students need laptop and exercise clothes. Medical health history and informed consent required.

Nuclear Science Week (NSW) 2026 is an international, week-long celebration running October 19-23, 2026, with Wilmington, NC selected as the national host city. The Wilmington Area Local Section of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) is organizing the event, with strong industry partnerships including Duke Energy and GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy. Each day of NSW focuses on a different aspect of nuclear technologies—ranging from energy and medicine to innovation, careers, and environmental stewardship. Planned activities include hands-on student experiences, facility tours, and community events. Local events also take place nationwide during the same week. Wilmington previously hosted NSW in 2016.
