Junior Veterinarians Camp: STEM in Action! is a week-long STEM summer camp for ages 10–14 offered at 59+ locations across the US (including AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MN, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, DC, and online). Camp runs 9am–3pm daily (Mon–Fri), with optional early arrival from 8am and extended day until 5:45pm. Topics include: animal anatomy and physiology, veterinary simulations (diagnosing pretend patients), biology and chemistry experiments (vaccines, mock samples, animal nutrition), engineering challenges (designing enrichment toys and animal enclosures), Pet First Aid & Care Certification, and real-world case studies. Campers receive a Certificate of Excellence, camp t-shirt, and VIP lanyard. Staff-to-camper ratio is approximately 1:4 to 1:8. Instructors are recruited from top universities with less than 3% of applicants hired. Multiple weeks available throughout summer 2026; campers who attend multiple weeks advance in curriculum. An e-learning backup option may be offered if in-person camp cannot be held. Nuclear Science Week 2026 - National Celebration in Wilmington, NC

Nuclear Science Week (NSW) 2026 is an international, week-long celebration running October 19-23, 2026, with Wilmington, NC selected as the national host city. The Wilmington Area Local Section of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) is organizing the event, with strong industry partnerships including Duke Energy and GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy.
