Teen Advisory Board Meeting

Join us for a Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting. TAB members will help decorate the teen space, create book displays, share ideas for teen library programs, host library programs, listen to guest speakers & more. Snacks and sips will be provided. TAB is a group of teen volunteers who help the library and the community by implementing, promoting and advocating for teen library services in Montgomery County. The Teen Advisory Board will provide feedback on programs, assist librarians with planning and running events. For attending this event (which includes the TAB meeting, setting up and cleaning up for the program) you can receive 4 Student Service Learning Hours (SSL). Lake Junaluska Cleanup Day

Community cleanup focusing on clearing debris along shorelines and entrance roadways to Lake Junaluska. Recycling Drive-Thru

Safely dispose of unwanted items at our drive-thru recycling event. Free paper shredding (limit 3 boxes per person) and E-waste shredding are available, though some large E-waste items may have a fee from PAR-Recycle Works. Kids in Action Conservation Projects

The Louisville Zoo, in partnership with LG&E and KU Foundation, invites families and individuals to join Kids in Action, an initiative for students in grades preschool to 12th grade. Part of the Zoo's Earth Month Celebration throughout April. Students design conservation projects in categories: AIR, EARTH, WATER, ANIMAL, and SERVICE. Projects must be registered by April 16 with project plan, timeline, inspiration, and photos. Winners announced at Earth Day Celebration on April 26, 2026.

Members from the community will introduce a problem encountered by their non-profit, and students will spend the week designing, building, and testing a possible solution to meet their user needs.
