10-week Electrical Lineworker Training Program designed to prepare students for careers as electrical linemen. Includes pole setting/climbing, installing equipment, electric theory, safety training, commercial driving, and CDL training. 400 hours total with 350 hours credited toward apprenticeship. Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm, Friday online work.

Women Can Do is an annual, one-day trades and STEM career exploration conference for high school girls (and non-binary/gender-expansive youth comfortable in a girl-centered space). Hundreds of students attend each year to meet local employers, learn to use a variety of tools and equipment, and explore education and career pathways. The event features an Action Expo where students gain hands-on experience in STEM and trades fields using tools and equipment while talking with industry professionals, and a Resource Hall offering services and support organizations to prepare students for life after high school, including businesses offering information about internships, apprenticeships, and job opportunities. Vermont Works for Women welcomes anyone who identifies as a girl regardless of assignment at birth, as well as non-binary or gender-expansive youth who are comfortable in a girl-centered space.

Class A CDL training runs Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Oct. 12 to Dec. 17, 2026. Training covers classroom instruction (CDL permit & endorsement, driver qualification, federal safety regulations, air brake training, cargo handling, etc.), range driving (pre-trip inspection, backing techniques, coupling/uncoupling), and road driving. Students take their final road test at the RichmondCC facility—no DMV visit required. Scholarships may be available for self-pay students. Students must bring required documents and payment to either Hamlet or Scotland County Campus to register.

Also known as the Medallion Fund Scholarship program, this opportunity is for students of any age pursuing short-term vocational or technical studies in fields such as automotive technology, plumbing, heating, construction, advanced manufacturing, computer repair, licensed nursing assistant, etc. Preference given to applicants in traditional manufacturing trades (plumbing, electrical, construction, machining), applicants with a clear vision for career goals, those with few prior educational opportunities, and those who have made a financial commitment to their program. Citizenship is not considered. Applicants notified within six weeks of submission.
