Camp SOAR is a six-day summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in aerospace engineering. The program offers four tracks: aircraft, rotorcraft, space mission design, and space robotics. Campers attend technical lectures by professors, participate in hands-on design projects, and tour research facilities including the Vehicle Systems & Control Laboratory, Land Air and Space Robotics Laboratory, National Aerothermochemistry and Hypersonics Laboratory, and RELLIS Innovation & Technical Campus. Participants stay on campus in residence halls with access to university recreational facilities, library, and computer labs. Application requirements include unofficial high school transcript, essay, and $35 application fee. Selection based on academic qualifications and potential benefit to participant.
