How can gaming unlock access to STEAM careers for underrepresented youth? This panel explores the story of STEAM in Alexandria, VA, and a proven model that blends culturally responsive teaching, bilingual support, SEL, and industry exposure to create belonging. Participants will learn our scalable framework for building culturally responsive STEAM ecosystems through partnerships with higher ed, industry, and gaming partners. The session will also explore research-based strategies using gaming, project-based learning, and cultural content to build belonging in historically excluded students.

Scout's BSA Aviation Day happening concurrently with 'Wind and Wings: The Science of Flight' event. Participating Scouts will learn how airplanes work, about various aviation terms, careers in aviation, and pilot certifications, and even create an FPG-9 to take home. Great opportunity for Scouts to interact with other troops and work together to earn their Aviation Merit Badge. Event includes train ride, flag ceremony, lunch, workshops to help Scouts earn their Aviation Merit Badge and much more. At least one responsible adult (leader/parent chaperone) is required to register and stay for the duration of the event.

A fundraising gala celebrating healthcare professionals in the community while raising funds for healthcare career scholarships for Western SD students. Transportation Extravaganza is a new summer day camp hosted at ASU for rising 11th and 12th-grade students who are curious about the world of transportation--from walking and biking to trains, cars, airplanes, and everything in between. Over five action-packed days, students will explore ASU labs, participate in hands-on transportation-related challenges, and take field trips to local transportation hubs and infrastructure sites, such as airports, traffic management centers, or engineering facilities. The program blends interactive workshops, team-building activities, and real-world experiences to help students discover the wide range of careers that keep people and goods moving--while also giving them a taste of college life and engineering innovation. Camp runs June 1st - June 5th, 2026.

Join us as we explore this exciting summer camp for middle school students in Advanced Manufacturing! This summer camp is a four-day hands-on immersive STEM experience for students entering 6th and 7th (this fall) in advanced manufacturing and careers. Students will participate in a large group introduction followed by breakout sessions facilitated by GVSU staff, students, and industry professionals from around West Michigan. Sessions will include hands-on activities in CAD, 3-D Printing, Design Thinking, and Automation that will provide a glimpse into the future of the largest industry sector in Michigan. An introduction to careers in advanced manufacturing will engage students in learning about career pathways from industry professionals from West Michigan. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in off-site industry tours.

A week-long online meteorology camp for high school students passionate about weather. The program includes daily weather discussions, meteorology fundamentals, satellite meteorology, hurricanes, severe weather, storm chasing, tornado development, AI in weather forecasting, weather careers, and student presentations. Participants will receive Zoom links and all sessions are in Central Time. Application links will be available starting March 1, 2026. Computer and internet access required.

4 days for 9th-12th graders entering fall 2026. Hands-on, real-world experience in coastal research and stewardship. Fieldwork and activities with National Estuarine Research Reserve system and coastal partners. Uses ongoing research, monitoring and stewardship projects to introduce diverse careers in marine science, natural resources and environment.

Tomorrow's Engineers Week is an annual, national campaign designed to celebrate and showcase careers in engineering and technology. The week-long celebration includes assemblies, Q&A sessions with real engineers, and various activities to inspire young people about jobs in engineering and tech. In 2025, more than 60,000 young people from schools across the UK participated. The 2025 theme was 'Dare to discover' - showing that trial and error is central to engineering and tech. Tomorrow's Engineers Week will return in 2026.
