Scouting America: Sky is the Limit for Tiger Cub Scouts

Join us as we investigate the complexities of the universe in this hands-on workshop for Tigers. We'll explore the sun, moon, and constellations while learning planet pneumatics and creating our own constellations. Tiger Cubs must attend with a paying adult (Packs are welcome with one adult); solo Tiger Cubs are not allowed to participate. Online registration closes one week before the event. Cancellation policy: Email programs@nhmu.utah.edu with confirmation/order number no later than two weeks prior for refund less 10% fee. Cancellations less than one week before receive no refund.

This show celebrates Pink Floyd's iconic album 'The Dark Side Of The Moon', originally released in March 1973. With the help of modern technology, the idea of a show combining breath-taking views of the solar system and beyond, played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side Of The Moon in surround sound, has been embraced by the band. NSC Creative have led the visual production efforts, working closely with Pink Floyd's long time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis, to create the ultimate 'The Dark Side of the Moon' fulldome experience. Memorial Weekend Day Camp: Life in the Solar System

This 3-day camp explores how solar systems work and why Earth is perfectly positioned for life. Campers will discover astronomy, lunar cycles, geology, and the greenhouse effect through hands-on science and fun activities. Activities include learning how Earth fits into our solar system, exploring lunar cycles, investigating geology, discovering astronomy basics, learning about the greenhouse effect, creating space-themed eco-art projects, participating in games and activities, nature journaling, and engaging in science lessons. Daily schedule runs from 7:30-9am drop-off through 5-6pm pickup, including morning field investigations, guided hikes, nature journaling, lunch break (bring own), and afternoon eco-art activities and science lessons.
