Explore Engineering Day at UMSL offers K-12 students a hands-on look into the world of engineering through fun activities, lab tours and interactive demos. It's a great opportunity to discover STEM in action and meet faculty and students.

One of the biggest science celebrations in the state featuring more than 100 booths with hands-on activities, games, science demonstrations, and behind-the-scenes lab tours. Part of the North Carolina Science Festival. Event runs rain or shine from 11 am to 4 pm. Includes main stage activities and food truck rodeo. Parking lot in front of Morehead will be closed during event.

This spring, we will hold one in-person CSI (Career Day) event at Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) in Newport, Oregon! The event will include connections with STEM professionals, hands-on activities, and behind-the-scenes tours of lab spaces at HMSC. Registration opens January 7th. Program fees are fully refundable if cancellation notification is sent by April 1st. Registration fees are non-refundable if cancellation after April 1st with limited exceptions on case by case basis.

The Engineering Summer Academy is the perfect hands-on experience for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors eager to explore life as an engineering major. Engage in thrilling demonstrations, interactive activities, and team challenges while touring industry labs and discovering what it takes to succeed in engineering. Whether you're considering a career in engineering or just curious about the field, this program will give you an exclusive, insider's look at the exciting world of engineering. Move-in for residential students is June 7, 2026. Scholarship/Financial Aid Available including CREATE scholarships for students in grades 7-12 attending public schools in Pontotoc, Union, or Lee counties, and TRANE Technologies scholarship for 7th-12th grade students from North Mississippi and Southern Tennessee counties.

Hands-on camp with assistance from the Robotics and Automation Society. Participants will work on a robotics project and competition, constructing their robotics project from coding through assembly and circuitry. Faculty will host lessons, workshops, and lab tours on artificial intelligence applications in industry and research. Dates: June 29 - July 3, 2026

Camp spotlights aerospace programs at UT San Antonio. The Aeronautics and Rocketry Club will work with participants to build their own rocket, customizing it and understanding the effect of each modification. Aerospace-focused faculty will host lessons, workshops, and lab tours on aerospace research and career opportunities. Dates: July 6 - 10, 2026
