The conference is an opportunity to engage with members of the mariculture industry, hear from experts and connect with farmers, processors, researchers, community leaders and other professionals. The goal is to support the continued development of mariculture in Alaska by reviewing accomplishments, addressing challenges, and exploring opportunities in research, innovation, education, and industry growth. The event includes workshops on March 10, conference presentations on March 10-11, and annual meetings for Alaska Mariculture Alliance and Alaska Shellfish Growers Association on March 12.

The annual academy meeting brings together 100's of Indiana and Midwest senior and junior scientists from industry and academia, engineers, graduate and undergraduate science students, science educators from the state's public and private high schools and middle schools, and general science enthusiasts, for a full day of Indiana science, including hundreds of oral and poster research presentations, hot topic presentations, workshops, and even panel discussions delivered by experts from Indiana and across the United States. Event runs from 7:00 AM-6:30 PM.
