SSMCTF 2026 Qualifiers

SSMCTF 2026 Qualifiers is a 12-hour, beginner-friendly Jeopardy CTF organised by the Singapore Students Merger. It features a section dedicated to beginners with increased difficulty to cater to everyone from complete beginners to seasoned players. Teams may consist of up to 4 members. Categories include: Web, Pwn, Crypto, Forensics, Rev, Beginner and Misc. Top 40 participants will be invited to SSMCTF 2026 Finals in Singapore on June 13. Pre-university students are prize eligible, while open category is non-prize eligible.

FPE Summer Camp - Fire Protection Engineering Design Challenge

A week-long design and construction camp that ends in a team competition. In teams of 3 or 4, participants will design, test and build a two-room apartment along with the notification, detection and suppression systems in that apartment. The teams will bring their apartments to be fire-tested in a competition at the end of the week in the University of Maryland fire labs. Monday through Thursday will be at Mt. St. Joseph's. Students will be bussed to UMD on Friday for 'Burn Day' competition. Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (ET). Offered by the SFPE (Society of Fire Protection Engineers) Chesapeake Chapter and Mount St. Joseph's school in collaboration.

Derivative of Thrills Summer Institute

A summer institute exploring how mathematics is used in real-world situations through the thrilling world of roller coasters. Students will discover how math powers the design and thrills of these iconic rides through hands-on activities, mathematical modeling, and team competition to build functional roller coasters. Students must have completed and passed both Algebra I and Geometry at the high school level. This is a competitive application process requiring a description of interest and high school transcript. Acceptance notifications will be sent by end of May 2026, with registration and forms due by June 15.
