Nuclear Science Week (NSW) 2026 is an internationally recognized, week-long observance scheduled for October 19-23, 2026. The Wilmington Area Local Section of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) has been selected as the national host. The week-long celebration explores multiple aspects of nuclear science including energy, medicine, innovation, careers, and community impact. Industry partners include Duke Energy and GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy. Activities include hands-on student experiences, facility tours, and community events.
