A multi-day naturalist rally featuring field trips, workshops, and educational programs focused on spring wildlife, botany, geology, and natural sciences. The event includes keynote speakers, guided nature walks, stream ecology studies, bird watching, salamander exploration, and various hands-on scientific activities. Past programs have covered topics including bioluminescence, forest disturbance ecology, stream macroinvertebrates, spring ephemerals, wildlife rehabilitation, geology, and conservation efforts.

This introductory backpacking expedition is led by exceptional naturalists and wilderness guides. Activities include hands-on exploration of flora and fauna, astronomy lessons, backcountry skills like orienteering and Leave No Trace principles, meal preparation, fire building, wildlife observation and documentation, day packing (7-10 mile day hikes), backpacking (1 night outside of base camp), birding, owl prowl, mountain ecology (forest and stream), camp cooking, butterfly identification, and journaling. Experience moss-laden spruce fir forests, shrub balds, and amazing vistas. Tents, packs, and sleeping pads provided. Duration: 5 days / 4 nights (July 27-31, 2026).
