Girl Scout camps have prepared curriculum for multiple scout levels, plus pre-set dates and sleeping locations. This Phoenix Zoo fun patch focuses on what it takes to be an explorer. Troops will experience basic navigation and orienteering techniques while demonstrating teamwork. Overnight camp from 6:15 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. Sleeping area: Desert Tents.

Teton Valley Ranch Camp - Summer 2026

Western heritage camp with concentration on horseback skills and backcountry backpacking and pack trips. Total staff: 95 (15 international staff) aged 19+. Co-ed camp for 130 campers. Wilderness Expedition Summer Camp

Wilderness Expedition

This introductory backpacking expedition is led by exceptional naturalists and wilderness guides. Activities include hands-on exploration of flora and fauna, astronomy lessons, backcountry skills like orienteering and Leave No Trace principles, meal preparation, fire building, wildlife observation and documentation, day packing (7-10 mile day hikes), backpacking (1 night outside of base camp), birding, owl prowl, mountain ecology (forest and stream), camp cooking, butterfly identification, and journaling. Experience moss-laden spruce fir forests, shrub balds, and amazing vistas. Tents, packs, and sleeping pads provided. Duration: 5 days / 4 nights (July 27-31, 2026).
