Elementary STEM Day

CINSAM invites hundreds of local 4th graders and their teachers to visit NKU for hands-on STEM activities and lessons led by NKU faculty, staff, and pre-service teachers. Attendees are schools that have expressed interest to CINSAM. CINSAM utilizes a rotation schedule of educators throughout the region, with each participating school notified when it's their turn to participate.

Online Research Academy

A four-week virtual interdisciplinary research program led by faculty from North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Participants will learn and apply fundamental research methodologies while working on a dedicated research project. The program includes regular online meetings with a faculty mentor twice a week. Upon completion, students will receive a graduation certificate and a performance evaluation letter from their professor, which can be included in their college applications. Virginia Tech's immersive STEM Summer Camps offer hands-on introduction to robotics, coding, cybersecurity, drone technology, and space science.
