In this hands‑on woodworking and laser‑cutting workshop, you'll learn essential fabrication and safety techniques while customizing and constructing a wooden windowsill planter. No experience necessary--just bring your curiosity and love for DIY home décor. Ages 10+, 120 minutes duration.

This week is all about hands-on making and big-time teamwork! Campers will learn the art of whittling with safe tools, weave and knot colorful creations like friendship bracelets, and dive into large-scale games that challenge them to work together, move fast, and think creatively. Whether we're crafting or strategizing with our friends, this week is full of skill-building, collaboration, and classic camp fun. In addition to the theme-related activities, every week of camp may include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time, deep woods and field games, whittling, storytelling, and looking for critters. Camp runs 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily. Ages 5-12. We try to spend as much time outdoors as possible, even on chilly days! Please send your camper dressed for the weather.

Welcome to the 16th Annual IAW Art Show! This is a non-profit collaboration of five art and craft clubs from Idaho unified in their love for artistry in wood and gourds. The annual show features unique wooden art pieces and is made possible by Southwest Idaho Woodturners Association, Ada County Woodworkers Association, Idaho Woodcarvers Guild, and Treasure Valley Scrollers. This year's show is being hosted by the Southwest Idaho Woodturners Association. Show runs Saturday March 21st, 9am-5pm & Sunday March 22nd, 10am-4pm.

The 24th Annual Birdhouse Competition is part of Raulston Blooms! event. Competition is open to all ages with categories for Adults (Functional and Flight of Fancy), Creativity for All (individuals/groups with disabilities), and Youth (ages 6 and under, 7-11, 12-14, and grades 9-12). Birdhouses must be complete before drop-off on April 24. Judging criteria includes functionality, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and creativity. Winners announced on social media and Visitors' Choice Awards determined by spare change voting.

This two-week course involves construction of an 11-foot Monhegan Island Skiff, a traditional wooden boat. Students will learn time-honored methods of craftsmanship and design, use hand tools like chisels and planes, develop joinery skills, and apply traditional building techniques. The course includes rowing, sculling, line handling, knots, and excursions exploring Maine's maritime heritage. The program includes a $40,000 scholarship for students who later matriculate at COA.

Holiday camp for ages 10-15 featuring hands-on activities including making lefse, creating holiday wreaths, wood crafting projects, and making holiday treats. Camp runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 7, 2026. Registration opens March 1, 2026. 4-H membership not required. Scholarships available for income eligible families.
