The 24th Annual Birdhouse Competition is part of Raulston Blooms! event. Competition is open to all ages with categories for Adults (Functional and Flight of Fancy), Creativity for All (individuals/groups with disabilities), and Youth (ages 6 and under, 7-11, 12-14, and grades 9-12). Birdhouses must be complete before drop-off on April 24. Judging criteria includes functionality, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and creativity. Winners announced on social media and Visitors' Choice Awards determined by spare change voting.

Students will learn time-honored methods of craftsmanship and design, use hand tools like chisels and planes, develop joinery skills, and apply traditional building techniques.
