Cub Scout Transportation Explorer Day

Come out to the North Carolina Transportation Museum for a day of Scouting fun. All Cub Scouts, whether you're a Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelo/Arrow of Light, will have the opportunity to become a Transportation Explorer and complete the requirements for several transportation related Belt Loops/Pins. Participating Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears will each earn two Adventure Loops while Webelo and Arrow of Light participants will earn one Adventure Pin. During the day, enjoy our Cub Scout Day activities, a train ride, scavenger hunt, and much more. Lunch will be provided for all event ticket holders. This is a great opportunity for cubs to interact with other packs/dens, make connections, and build relationships. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pre-registration is required for this event. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Science Merit Badge

Conduct experiments indoors and out at The Morton Arboretum to earn your Environmental Science Merit Badge. Hike through the west side of the Arboretum to study the environment and then design a construction plan to complete your environmental impact statement. This course meets in person at the Arboretum on two dates, with required homework between sessions. Program meets Sunday, March 8, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 15, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Required Reading: Environmental Merit Badge Booklet. This program is held indoors and outdoors. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. Be prepared to walk on wood-chipped trails. Bring a notebook and pen. Course number: M201

Scouting America: Sky is the Limit for Tiger Cub Scouts

Join us as we investigate the complexities of the universe in this hands-on workshop for Tigers. We'll explore the sun, moon, and constellations while learning planet pneumatics and creating our own constellations. Tiger Cubs must attend with a paying adult (Packs are welcome with one adult); solo Tiger Cubs are not allowed to participate. Online registration closes one week before the event. Cancellation policy: Email programs@nhmu.utah.edu with confirmation/order number no later than two weeks prior for refund less 10% fee. Cancellations less than one week before receive no refund.

Scouting America: Earth Rocks for Webelos Cub Scouts
