5-day residential camp for rising 11th & 12th grade male students to explore engineering and STEM disciplines including Civil and Environmental, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer, Operations Research and Engineering Management, and Mechanical Engineering. Features hands-on projects in the Deason Innovation Gym maker space, college life experience, mentorship from SMU students and alumni, and final project presentations.

This camp is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, laser cutting and machining. Students at UMT Summer Camp will also have the opportunity to build and take home their own 3D printer!

The Engineering Projects in Community Service program, known as EPICS, is a national award-winning social entrepreneurship program. Students design, build, and deploy systems to solve engineering-based problems for charities, schools, and other not-for-profit organizations. During this program, students will be introduced to engineering design, rapid prototyping (laser cutting, CAD, Arduino, 3D printing), and prototype testing through a hands-on, application-based summer camp. Members from the community will introduce a problem encountered by their non-profit, and students will spend the week designing, building, and testing a possible solution to meet their user needs. EPICS projects range from solar panel battery systems, engagement toys for animals at the Phoenix Zoo, 3D printed prosthetics, and tools for training service dogs. Week runs June 22nd - 26th, 2026.

Advanced camp for students with some 3D design experience focusing on complex CAD techniques, mechanical assemblies, reverse engineering, and sophisticated prototyping. Includes lab tours of machine shop and structure lab. For students entering grades 8 & 9. Scholarships available with application deadline April 1.

Code Quest camp is a continuing STEM experience for students in Grades 7 and 8. Students will participate in hands-on projects including CAD design, Arduino coding, LED light programming, 3D printing, laser cutting and more. Four-day program running 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM daily. Registration opens March 2, 2026.
