Middle School Leadership Program

The Middle School Leadership Program at the Academy of Notre Dame aims to give young women skills and confidence both inside and outside the classroom, empowering the next generation of leaders. Rising 4th through 8th graders will participate in activities that will develop and enhance their leadership skills. During the leadership program, students can expect to do some of the following: practice public speaking in front of their peers, challenge themselves in a ropes course, participate in service-learning, and develop verbal skills to set boundaries in self-defense. This Leadership Program is devoted to creating more opportunities for young women to find their voice - and have fun along the way! Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, July 6-9

Girls in STEM Symposium - Discover and Explore Your Passion

Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation's Girls in STEM Symposium is a one day event designed to inspire and empower middle and high school girls (7th grade through 12th grade) to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The 2026 event will feature a stronger focus on hands-on activities, streamlined speaker schedule with more Q&A time, expanded vendor and scientist displays, informational tables closer to pavilion area for meeting STEM professionals during breaks, and programming designed to maximize student engagement and discovery through small-group interactions and instructor-led demos.

Girls Exploring Tomorrow's Technology 2026

GETT (Girls Exploring Tomorrow's Technology) is an annual event for girls in grades 4-10 and their parents where they learn about career opportunities in a broad scope of STEM-related industries. The day is filled with exciting, enlightening, and experiential activities led by successful women in STEM fields. Explore hands-on interactive activities and discover new ways to connect your passions for science, technology, engineering, and math! GETT was founded in response to the underrepresentation of young women in STEM fields. Registration opens March 14, 2026. Pre-registration is required - no tickets will be sold at the door. Event duration: 4 hours (10 AM - 2 PM). Refunds available up to 7 days before event.
