Read to a Dog

Build confidence and read one-on-one with a therapy dog! For kids ages 5-10 who have some ability to read aloud on their own. In person registration is required the day of the program. We have a limited number of available time slots. Readers can sign up for a time slot starting at 4:15 p.m. at the Information Desk. Each reader will have ten minutes to read one-on-one with the therapy dog. This program is in partnership with Pet Partners.

This camp is an enrichment program designed to help children build confidence, focus, coordination, self-discipline, and basic self-defense skills through age-appropriate martial arts training and structured movement. Each day, campers participate in guided karate and self-defense activities that improve balance, posture, listening skills, situational awareness, and emotional control, while learning respect, perseverance, and teamwork.
