Ever wondered how your favorite movies and TV shows come to life? Join EICC's award-winning media tech and studio director, Jeremy Ferguson for a hands-on introduction to the world of film and television! In this dynamic summer camp, youth will: Learn the secrets behind the scenes of film and TV production. Get hands-on with professional cameras, audio gear, and editing tools. Collaborate to create a short film or TV show from concept to final cut. Discover the art of teamwork in media production. Special Bonus: Your finished project will air on Muscatine Channel Nine TV--so your friends and family can see your masterpiece on screen! What to Bring: Costumes (if you have them!), Your creativity and big ideas, A smartphone (optional) if you'd like to film on your own device. Game On: LEGO building, coding, and stop motion animation - Week 1

This week, students will be challenged to defeat the nefarious Dr. Destructo. Each day, students will collaborate with a video game hero to construct various motorized LEGO builds utilizing axles, gears, battery packs, pulleys, and motors. Students will gain proficiency in coding their motorized LEGO builds through a drag-and-drop-based interface with Bluetooth technology. In the afternoon, students will produce their own LEGO stop-motion animations, learning to edit films, integrate music, and add titles/credits using professional stop-motion software. Ages 6-8, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm.
