TexTEC Camp (Textile Technology, Engineering and Chemistry Camp)
For rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Hosted by the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science and the Textile Technology Center at Gaston College Kimbrell Campus. Students will gain hands-on knowledge about sustainability, biomedical textiles, forensics, color science, composites, chemistry, electronic textiles, protective apparel, and engineering. Activities include screen printing your own fabric, learning from faculty/staff/students, and exploring scholarship opportunities. All supplies and materials provided. June 17 & 18 (Wednesday-Thursday), 8am-4pm.
