Modules align with NGSS K-12 framework and include pedagogical discussions, feedback, and resource sharing. Past locations: CA, NM, CO, IL, NY, MT, AZ, LA, PA.

QCaMP for Educators is a professional development camp for high school educators focusing on quantum information science education. The program includes 7+ modules with slides, recordings, activities, and worksheets that can be incorporated into classroom settings and linked with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) K-12 framework. Educators will receive pedagogical discussions, feedback, resource sharing, lesson plans, and ready-to-go activities to incorporate quantum mechanics concepts into existing curriculum. No advanced math or physics required. Check back at the end of January 2026 to learn specific locations.

Teachers and high school students collaborate with Dr. Edgar Lobaton's research team to explore how AI is transforming climate change research. Participants will develop a K-12 accessible robotic imaging device using AI tools, contribute to citizen science programs, engineer functional imaging prototypes, translate 2D imaging data into 3D models, and design instructional materials. Program runs June 22 - July 20, 2026 (no work July 3). Requires 40 hours per week commitment, 32-36 hours in research lab plus 4-8 hours professional development. Prerequisites include 3 years teaching experience, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and teaching appointment for 2026-2027. Python programming or microcontroller experience recommended but not required.

NCCAT will sponsor five teacher spots to attend the Holocaust Educator Seminar in Poland, scheduled for July 19-27, 2026. Selected participants would return with significant expertise in the fields of Holocaust and Genocide Education.

Search for the 'Big 5' species of wildlife, take bush walks with safari rangers, explore Golden Gate Highlands National Park and Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre, and cruise for hippos and crocs in coastal wetlands. Build connections with South African educators. Mandatory pre- and post-trip sessions will be held in Raleigh on Saturday, March 28 and Saturday, November 7, 2026. Activity level: Moderate to rigorous including walking and hiking up to 7 miles on uneven terrain.

Three-day in-person teacher workshop for middle school and high school educators. Engage with sessions on education resources, including scientist talks, lab tours, and networking sessions by CEEE, NOAA, and friends. Topics include climate science, natural hazards, water resources, climate mental health, data literacy, and more. Participants will leave with classroom-ready lessons and activities. Can receive a 20-hour PD certificate OR 1-2 Continuing Education credits from the University of Colorado Boulder upon course completion. Participants who complete the course will receive a gift card. Graduate credits available.

Grant of up to $1,000 to a USA, Canada, or International K-12 English language arts teacher to support research projects that enhance the quality of education in the field. Proposals must address a specific question or problem to be studied and provide a clear timeline. This grant is open to teachers in all 50 US states, US territories, Canada provinces, and internationally including Israel.
