Tae Kwon Do (ages 6-18)

The benefits of Tae Kwon Do instruction are endless! Participants learn and develop all of the techniques for defense including: kicking, punching, blocking, grappling, and proper falls. Sensei John McDonald helps his students learn discipline, respect, self control and gain confidence - all while getting a great workout! Middle School Leadership Program

The Middle School Leadership Program at the Academy of Notre Dame aims to give young women skills and confidence both inside and outside the classroom, empowering the next generation of leaders. Rising 4th through 8th graders will participate in activities that will develop and enhance their leadership skills. During the leadership program, students can expect to do some of the following: practice public speaking in front of their peers, challenge themselves in a ropes course, participate in service-learning, and develop verbal skills to set boundaries in self-defense. This Leadership Program is devoted to creating more opportunities for young women to find their voice - and have fun along the way! Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, July 6-9

Karate Confidence Camp (ages 6-12)

This camp is an enrichment program designed to help children build confidence, focus, coordination, self-discipline, and basic self-defense skills through age-appropriate martial arts training and structured movement. Each day, campers participate in guided karate and self-defense activities that improve balance, posture, listening skills, situational awareness, and emotional control, while learning respect, perseverance, and teamwork. No prior martial arts experience is required. Activities are adapted for different ages and abilities. A martial arts uniform is not required - campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing suitable for movement. On the final day, parents are invited to a Friday Demonstration where campers showcase what they have learned.
