2026 Arkansas 4-H SeaPerch Challenge

The Arkansas 4-H SeaPerch Challenge is held every year as a qualifier for the International SeaPerch Challenge in College Park, Maryland. Competition includes multiple events: Technical Design Report, Meet the Team Interview, Mission Course (Storm Response: Technology in Action for Recovery and Relief theme), and Obstacle Course. Multiple classes available: Junior Stock (ages 8-10), Intermediate Stock (ages 11-13), Senior Stock (9th grade and above), and Open Class. Optional events include Real-World Innovation Poster and Community Outreach Project. Registration through local county extension office required by noon on February 13, 2026.

SeaPerch Challenge

The SeaPerch Challenge is a hands-on underwater robotics competition where K-12 students design, build, and operate their own remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Students participate in pool-based challenges including obstacle courses and mission courses simulating post-storm recovery efforts. Teams also participate in judges' interviews to showcase their engineering process. The event features three divisions: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Top teams may advance to the International SeaPerch Challenge in College Park, Maryland on May 30-31. The application deadline has been extended to February 9.

2026 Seacoast Seaperch Challenge

The Seacoast Seaperch Regional Competition is an annual event that includes different challenges for Seaperch teams. The 2026 challenge follows the International Seaperch Challenge format and includes an obstacle course to test ROV speed and maneuverability, a recovery mission to test teams' ability to move and manipulate objects, and a technical report for teams to highlight their design process. Teams consist of 2-6 students and up to 2 coaches. Registration is a two-step process with team pre-registration followed by final participant registration due in late February 2025.

MATE ROV Competition Oregon Regional

The MATE ROV Competition Oregon Regional is designated for SCOUT, NAVIGATOR, and RANGER class competition, hosted at Oregon State University. The in-person event will be held on Saturday, May 9 in Newport. Some judged components (engineering presentations and marketing/poster judging) will take place virtually during the week leading up to the May 9 event. Registration opens March 16 - April 22, 2026.
