Science & Technology Festival Giant Expo

A FREE full-day science and technology expo featuring robotics demonstrations, live animals, giant fossils from Nevada, hands-on activities and experiments, interactive demonstrations including Star Wars-themed shows, Energy Smart theater show, off-axis trampoline show, and science experiments. The festival awards $1,000 to the CCSD school that brings the most students and family members. Features over 50 exhibitors including museums, universities, STEM organizations, and technology companies.

Nevada Boys State 2026 Session

Nevada Boys State is a week-long leadership conference for high school junior boys that provides hands-on experience with local and state government operations. Participants can run for office, pass legislation in the actual House of Representatives, compete in athletics and team-building exercises, and have opportunities for exceptional delegates to attend Boys' Nation in Washington DC. Nevada Girls State

American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls State program offering training in democratic citizenship processes. Participants study City, County, and State government by setting up and administering their own miniature governments. Activities include legislative sessions, campaigning, party meetings, debating, voting, and parliamentary procedure instruction.
