The forest has been quiet over the winter, but it's coming back to life under our very feet! We'll search for all the life that lies beneath the leaf litter like snails, worms, and roly polys! We'll learn about the fungi that have sprouted and search for fun treasures like quartz crystals. When we're not exploring the forest below, we'll be looking up high as we climb trees and learn to launch fun projectiles. In addition to the theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp may include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time, deep woods and field games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find! We try to spend as much time outdoors as possible, even on chilly days! Please send your camper dressed for the weather.

Nature-based summer camps combining art, science experiments and games with explorations of the 172-acre Nature Sanctuary neighboring Forest Park. Camps run for various grade levels from K-12 with multiple weekly sessions throughout summer 2026. Registration opens January 17, 2026 at 9 a.m. Includes aftercare options and sliding scale pricing. Drawing inspiration from the classic, whimsical (and slightly mad) adventures of Alice in Wonderland, this camp is ideal for children ages 5 to 10. This camp invites children to unplug, explore the wonders of the forest, and dive into a world of 'curiouser and curiouser' fun and games. It's an immersive experience blending outdoor play with the magic of classic storytelling. Camp highlights include making your own Mad Hatter hat where campers will unleash their inner fashion designers by crafting their own quirky Mad Hatter hats using the most vibrant materials imaginable.
