Part of the Pre-K Pod Pals monthly program series for children ages 3-5. Focus on hatchlings (likely sea turtle hatchlings) as part of educational activities exploring Florida pre-kindergarten standards. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum participants required or program will be rescheduled/refunded.

We will dive into the butterfly life cycle and more. Registration opens 4 weeks before each event. Younger siblings are invited to watch, and may participate if space & materials are available after the event begins. Accommodations available with one week advance notice.

Help our animal care staff open the Llama Trek habitat for the day and find out what it takes to get our herd of llamas ready for the day. Meet the llamas behind the scenes then spend the day helping walk, feed, and taking silly selfies with this charismatic crew. Multiple dates available: June 7, 28; July 12, 26; August 9, 23, 2026. Meet at Bison Statue in main parking lot. Ages: All ages welcome; participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The César E. Chávez Leadership Institute (CCLI) is a summer experience for rising juniors and seniors who want to grow as leaders and make a difference in their communities. Students spend time on Arizona State University's Tempe campus building leadership skills, learning about civic engagement, and exploring the lasting impact of César Chávez's work. Through hands-on activities and group experiences, students will gain confidence, learn how to use their voice, and take steps toward high school completion and future college opportunities. Program runs June 21-24, 2026. Eligibility: Applicants entering the 11th or 12th grade in Fall 2026 are eligible to apply. While no minimum GPA is required for eligibility, eligible students should demonstrate a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
