Illumination Stations -Shedding a Light on Energy Programs

Illuminations Stations are information tables that provide an opportunity to shine a light on ways for people to lower their utility bills, apply for energy assistance, and receive items to help them keep money in their pockets! Visitors can bring old incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs to swap them for new energy efficient LED light bulbs (limit 3 LEDs per person). In collaboration with Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Pepco.

In-Person: Next Chapter Book Club

The Next Chapter Book Club is a community-based book club that welcomes adolescents and adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities to read, learn, make friends & have fun. Anyone 16 & over can participate, no matter their reading level. This Winter/Spring Session runs from February 4 through May 13, meeting weekly from 4:00-5:00 pm. This session features reading from Tom Fish & Jillian Ober's 'Something's Brewing: short stories & plays for everyone'. Multiple meeting dates include April 15, 22, 29, May 6, and May 13, 2026.
